RES Newsletter December 2025

Director's Message
Dear colleagues and campus partners,
As winter settles in, the RES team continues to advance several important initiatives, and I’d like to take a moment to share a few updates and reflect on this past year.
The university is currently under contract to acquire 2350 Arapahoe Avenue, with closing scheduled for January 2026. This acquisition represents the final property needed to complete an assemblage along Arapahoe Avenue from Folsom Street to 22nd Street. Securing this site will enable future development that aligns with CU’s mission and creates a welcoming gateway to campus. The property is currently home to El Rincón Cocina y Tequila, and the university intends to continue their lease until redevelopment plans are finalized.
We are also excited to welcome Charles Hester to the RES team. Charles joined us on December 1st as Real Estate Property Manager. He brings extensive experience in real estate and property management and will serve as the primary point of contact for all leasing and property management needs across the RES portfolio and campus. Please join us in giving Charles a warm welcome.
This past year has brought both new challenges and exciting opportunities, reminding us of the resilience and adaptability of our campus community. We are grateful to be part of an ever-evolving university that continues to meet the needs of students and society, while shaping a future that reflects our shared values and aspirations.
On behalf of everyone at RES, I wish you a joyful holiday season filled with time for rest, renewal, and connection with family and friends. We look forward to seeing you around campus in the new year.
Warm regards,
Steven Stasica
Senior Director of Real Estate Services
