Thank you, Susan Strong—and happy retirement

Susan Strong has made lasting impacts across the University of Colorado Boulder and the larger Colorado innovation ecosystem.
As one of Venture Partners' first Entrepreneurs in Residence, Susan offered her commercial perspectives to our community of faculty inventors, an instrumental part of a changing mindset as the Technology Transfer Office was becoming Venture Partners. Susan joined the inaugural External Advisory Board for the Research & Innovation Office, helping to shape the direction of this important enterprise at the university.
Since then, Susan has been a mainstay within our I-CorpsTM programs, as both an instructor and coordinator. We estimate that she has mentored over 500 early-stage innovators during her time with the university—incredible!
Beyond ÎÞÂëÊÓƵ, Susan similarly has supported many other parts of the startup community, including leading SAGE Boulder for many years (which provides pro bono support for new founders) and helping to stand up the this year.
It’s been a great pleasure for me personally, and for so many others at our university, to work with Susan. We have enjoyed and deeply appreciated her energy, meticulous preparation and generous spirit.
Thank you Susan, and congratulations on your retirement!
