The College of Engineering and Applied Science also houses the the Mortenson Center in Global Engineering & Resilience. Global Engineering is the practice of applying engineering skills to improve quality of life worldwide and particularly for communities facing poverty, climate stress and infrastructure gaps. It is interdisciplinary: technical design meets public health, economics, policy and community engagement. The Center offers two Global Engineering Professional Master’s Programs, one in Civil Engineering and one in Environmental Engineering and a Research-based MS. They also offer an in-person Certificate in Global Engineering that can be paired with any engineering degree at University of Colorado Boulder; and, an Online Certificate in Global Engineering, which can be used as a pathway to one of the PMP degrees.
